looking through the twins out of curiosity...
No way in hell Cuddyer's contact should be that high. He's a career .257 hitter, 55 at best.
he's also not the best defender, his arm might be a little high.

Wow, you must really want to piss him off to actually look that stuff up and spend the time to write a response that was as long as his original post. you'd be surprised how little i actually looked up. i'm a big mariners fan, so a lot of this is stuff i know. the OOTP player pages have actual 2004 stats, so that saved some time in terms of looking up some things, but a lot of it was stuff i knew anyway. Small details like specific games started for Soriano was something i looked up.

It seems that some of the stats are a bit off on the 2004 stats. Thome didn't hit 53 homers last year, although I wish he did.

don't worry though. i didn't base all of my stuff on there. i knew the stats for some of the stuff (like miguel olivo hitting around .230 with about 13-15 homers)

need some help on casey fossum. he is essentially rated at 8-8-8 talent. looking at this stats i can only come to the conclusion that he is the most overrated player in the league.
anybody know anything about him?
he plays for tampa.

Actually, the real most overrated player is Travis Hafner....
Fossum isn't too bad...maybe a slight talent decrease.

hafner's gap should be reduced. he is a power guy plain and simple tho. his contact could probably be rediced a bit as well.

Ok, this blows, I just typed up a big thing then hit a button and went back, losing everything...gay/6.2.
Gustavo Chacin...well, he needs to exist, first of all. He got our second start of the season so he should be ML ready, too...as should Dave Bush, who is better than his ratings.
Orlando Hudson could probably have a bit more range - he's a GG caliber 2B.
Need more cash - let's work with a figure of 52 million for a self imposed ceiling (IRL, it's higher than that already, then kick in the 210 million ownership is committing over the next three years...). My payroll is about 14 million under that 52 million ceiling, and yet I only have 5 million cash to spare....doesn't add up.
Batista is the closer, though I can always set that myself...Hillenbrand should have an actual position...there shouldn't be a player named French on my team, strict matter of principle.
That's it for now, don't even remember what I missed from before. Oh well.

Everyone starts with 5 million in cash and it's calculated at the end of the season after Total Revenue - Player Expences.

Pat Burrell should not have rating as good as Beltran....
Chan Ho Park is way too good.

His contact should be brought down to at least 65 but on how he's doing this year it seems accrate.

dave, don't worry so much about the cash number. just watch your payroll and your revenue, and you'll be ok. so many people obsess over the cash number for no reason.
and something else i noticed, Scott Spiezio's defense at 1B should be cut in half. Since he had never been 1B before i believe last year (maybe he played it a tiny bit his last year with the Angels), and he sucked hard at it regardless, no reason he should be gold glove caliber. He should be in the 40s-50s defensively in all of the positions he's eligible at.

ok. just checking up my estimates. first time spiezio played 1B with any regularity was in 2001. He hasn't done too well there defensively at all (he played it 39 games over the 1999 and 2000 seasons, and thats it).
i could also make a case that his offensive numbers should be lowered too, given the fact his average his declined every year for the past 3 years, with it being .215 last year.

His ratings are fine...but I'll agree with you on his 1B rating. I wasn't even going to use him there anyway lol.
