Yeah... so I went to the trailer... and junk. Nothing eventful happened for a while, and then the hurricane hit. It was kind of freakish for a while... whining winds and whatnot, and I was kind of bummed for a while... Then some corny Christian epiphany happened, and I'm not going to bore you with the details or anything... but I started praying. Around 5 minutes later a tree fell and landed literally about 6 inches from the trailer. That was pretty crazy. Then the porch got ripped off and landed safely on the top of our SUV, and miraculously it was left undamaged. Then part of the roof was ripped off, right over where my mom was sleeping... but it didn't cave in until morning, when all of the hairy stuff had passed.
Then in the morning we had to go out and try to chainsaw our way out of the forest... with around 5-10 miles worth of felled trees blocking our way. It seemed like a daunting task, but then, out of nowhere, rednecks started wandering out of the mist. There were thousands of them(around 30), most of which had chainsaws. At this point I got bored and I jogged ahead out to the highway to see how bad the damage was... and it was pretty massive. Seeing how much work was going to be involved... I just stood around twiddling my thumbs while the rednecks cleared with amazing efficiency. That wasn't a good idea, since I got covered with ants. At this point my uncle told me to drive his truck back to the trailer and change, unbeknowenst of the fact that I... don't know how to drive(as fonix knows). So I taught myself to drive, which was kind of cool. Thank God the damage from the hurricane masked all of the damage that I caused to that truck...
Anyway, I got home this morning... and school is cancelled for a month, and it is expected that there won't be power for 2-3 weeks. That may seem like an overexaggeration... but my town was a logging town back in the day, and is literally covered with pine trees and whatnot, so the damage was, to put it lightly, extensive. I might put up a few pictures later. I got to my house and discovered 3 trees had fallen on it... but, luckily, the damage was pretty minor, and we're heavily insured. My mom was going crazy trying to think of what we could blame on the hurricane and how much extra we could get fixed because of it. Oh, every single tree in my yard has fallen, and it pretty much looks like a warzone. woo hoo.
So my rich dad shows up out of nowhere and helps with the work around the house, and then takes myself and my siblings away to his place in Houston, where it looks as if nothing happened at all. Yay for that. So I'm going to be here for about a month... and I've got around 100 pages to read for European history... and I'm pissed because my fall play(in which I play the villain) will probably end up being cancelled. Huzzah.
I think that's about it... I'm tired.
