they have been turned off for the reaminder of the season. i'll hold a vote on whether or not to continue with this.
people put too much value into star ratings sometimes and they can be very misleading and this was the main reason for it.

It's a good generalization for prospects. I wish you could just shut it off for overall guys.

2 things...
1. I want the star ratings back, they help rookies like me.
2. What the hell is wrong with you people? Stop posting at 530 in the effing morning. Sleep.

Hey, if star ratings are helping the rookies, we should turn them back on

Boo. Keep star ratings for players considered prospects.
Star ratings are overrated for overall players, and "some" council members seem to be basing their decisions on such, but for prospects and rookies, we need star ratings.

if they're misleading, alter the percentages that influence the star rating. put a heavier influence on ratings and a smaller one on stats if that is the issue, or vice versa.

yeah I think that we should keep them on for prospects at least. They don't really make sense with major leaguers (Are there any 5.0s?) so you might as well shut those off.

well the problem is that they are either on for everyone and off for everyone.
unfortunately i will have to turn them back on because the compensation for stealing franchised players requires that the star rating for the spec to be known.

I seem to remember he went back and forth between 4.5 and 5.0

He only went down when he was switched to 1B permanantly.
As a DH he was a constant 5, as far as I saw.
