yeah, maybe we should put houston in the AL West or something, it seems kind of unfair that there are fewer teams in one conference with the same number of playoff spots in both. Of course, that would drastically alter the realism of this game.

not to mention that it would require either at least 1 interleague game every day, or at least 2 teams with an off-day every day.

personally I'd like to see Lilly win it but he played on my team for two thirds of the year, that and the injury have conspired to keep him from getting the record he'll need to win it. he certainly is having a dominant season though.

the game won't allow an uneven number of teams in the NL and AL. so it has to be 16-14 or 16-16, and i refuse to expand seeing that trying to get a full league has proved difficult since the new owners always seem to disappear or quit almost as fast as they join.

johan santana: 14-11, 3.13 ERA, 1.15 WHIP
Ted Lilly: 12-8, 3.07 ERA, 1.07 WHIP
Danny Haren: 18-6, 3.33 ERA, 1.12 WHIP
Zito has nineteen wins too, so I think that one of my guys will come out on top.

Santana led the AL in K's by a large margin. I don't know if OOTP looks at that or not, but it certainly doesn't hurt him.

I think it probably helps, but not enough to drastically alter its decision.

Aww fuck. I didn't realize the winners were up when I posted.
That's fine. Next year, I'll have the Cy Young (Santana) and the MVP (Morneau).
