no john, he won't. peavy's ERA, 1.19, is a full 1.11 lower than the next guy, hudson, and he is tied for second in wins.

i'd say schmidt is the guy closest to peavy at the moment. close ERAs, same amount of wins i believe, and Schmidt has more k's.

If the season ended Peavy would probably win right now. Even the game can't ignore a 1.39 ERA.

yes but in that last sim Hudson inproved his stats.
17-8 2.31 era (not as low as Peavy's but still pretty good) 198.1 IP 156 K 1.06 WHIP 24 quality starts
and 9 hit batsmen

I have three guys in the top 4 in ERA. I think Haren should get the Cy for the AL though, he's 16-5 and has a 3.26 ERA. That's not saying Zito and Lilly are undeserving, mind you.
They'll probably all end up losing to Johan Santana though.

johan is like 11-9 thoguh and i think that wins do factor in to the cy young a little.
i honestly wouldn't be surprised to see an OAK pitchers take the AL cy.

This year's NL pitchers are doing much better than the AL. The number ten guy in the NL leaders has an era of 3.18, which is the same as the number two guy in the AL.
