I have many players that the game categorizes as automatic resigns...................which means they will automatically sign with their current team to contract extensions. I have been informed that we will not go by the rules of the game and that they are eligible to become free agents. Is this true for all teams in the league ? Why are we changing the rules on this matter? I belong to many OOTP6 1.12 leagues and none of them overide this in the game. Why are we doing this in this particular league ? It was not in the rules when I joined ?

Wait, we're not doing auto-resigns?

it was a mistake that was made by the roster creator.
if those players in questions have contracts that go beyond this year (sheffield, mendoza, williams and randy) then i will adjust them accordingly.
but for some reason, as i stated to you, there is no time listed for ML roster experience which they all have plenty of.
there are other players that have the same circumstances. if you responded to me when i had the player adjustement topic up i would have fixed it then, but you (as well as the other woners in the same situation) failed to do so.

Wait, we're not doing auto-resigns? we are doing auto-resigns for the players that qualifiy for them (players with minor league contracts that don't have a year of ML experience).

I league file would of made it easier to see. But I read the rules and assumed we would go by the rules and not change after the fact..................I am screwed.

So is this just a one-year thing then? Assuming that all these contracts will be corrected? Isn't this something that should have been established earlier? ?

soooo....
I have a couple players (I think) who need re-signing?
For example, Chin-Hui Tsao has 1year 111days of MLB service... so his contract expires if I don't extend him?
Ok... I just realized I don't understand the concept of what we are talking about. If there are only a handful, could someone just list them?

All of your automatic resigns are going to stay automatic or change to arbitration. We're talking about people who have been in the majors for a long time, like Randy Johnson, who are listed as auto resign.

I'd be fine if the whole yankees team where to become free agents - I can sleep better tonight
