Can you post the latest league file so I can download all the new changes into my game?
Is the final decision that owners will not be able to do file downloads ? Seems like too much work for the Commish to load everything manually.
( like promotions, minor league lineups, pitching rotations, ticket prices, team strategies, etc.)
If you password protect the file.................no cheating can go on.
I run a league and have had no such problems that you may have fear.
Please consider it.

i am still debating about this. i am pretty sure i know how to do it, but i need to download a winzip program (i think cuz i can't figure out otherwise how to zip the darn folder) before a league file can go up.
i can tell you all this much, there won't be one before the first sim. if htere is one for the first season it will be up before may 1st (league date, not actual).
there will definitely be one for the second season though.

you don't have to purchase the game if he starts posting a league file. he'll still make changes for you thru PM if you don't have the game.

very entertaining. I had played a ton of OOTP 4-6 without ever getting involved in online leagues and loved it. It gets pretty in-depth in an online league like this where you just PM changes to someone. There's even more to it when you do it in a solo league, as you have so many more options in front of you that you don't see on the site (and many aren't aware of). You set your lineups, your depth chart (and the percentage the backups play at specific positions), minor league lineups/rotations, team strategies (base stealing, favoring lefty/righty matchup, how quickly you pull starters, and many other things), handle the 40 man roster (which you do here, but you can see the whole 40 man roster in the game in a much easier way), and all kinds of other things. And thats just for in the regular season. You also get a much more visual view of all of the players in the game (instead of just seeing numbers like on the league site, there are bars for all of the ratings to get a more visual sense of it). There are also a ton more stats available to see in the game than on the player pages here i believe.
The off-season is amazing and highly addictive. Free agency is great. Not much to say about it, as its very similar in this league to what is in the game in a solo league. For the draft, you have so much more available to you about the individual players in the game. Scout assessment, high school/college stats, their level of competition in high school/college, their rating overall on the 20-80 scouting scale, what the signing bonus will be, and a lot more. The option for the rule 5 draft makes it a little more interesting, although you really don't miss much if you play without it.
The great thing about the game is its customization. Its not just simming a current league at this year's season like most games would be. You can do historical leagues from i think any point in time from 1901 to the present time. When you do historical leagues, you can import real rookies. Say you were doing a historical league, and then once you got to 1989, Ken Griffey Jr. would be in that year's draft class. Frank Thomas would be in the draft class the year after, etc. There's probably so much about this game i'm forgetting. But how in-depth it is (especially in comparison to an online league in this format) is simply mind-blowing.
