ALDS
------------------------------
Yankees vs. Tigers
-------------------------------
As much as I want to see my Bengals go all the way, I just can't see them overcoming this monster offense.
Yankees in 4
Athletics vs. Minnesota
-------------------------------
Johan Santana possibly twice in this matchup? No way the Twins lose either start if it goes that far. A's offense not good enough to overcome Twins pitching.
Twins in 4
NLDS
-------------------------------
Dodgers vs. Mets
------------------------------
Losing Pedro hurts but the Mets have too much offensive firepower to lose this series.
Mets in 3
Cardinals vs. Padres
------------------------------
Close series but I think the Cards pull this one out narrowley with some serious help from Pujols.
Cardinals in 5
ALCS
--------------------------------
Yankees vs. Twins
-----------------------------
Good pitching versus great offense so I gotta give it to the Yankees. Santana can't pitch every game for the Twins and outside of him there's a lot of question marks against probably one of the best lineups top to bottom I've seen in a long time.
Yankees in 5
NLCS
-----------------------------
Mets vs. Cardinals
------------------------------
Cardinals don't have enough SP to manage a series. The Mets starters hold out well enough to take the series and like the ALCS, Carpenter can't pitch every game and unless the Cards rotation finds themselves in the playoffs, expect a subway series.
Mets in 6
World Series
--------------------------------
Mets vs. Yankees
--------------------------------
Subway Series it is then. The Mets pitching won't be able to contain the best offense they've seen so far and the Yankees will hopefully get good starts from Mussina and Wang and all they'll pray for is quality starts out of the rest of the rotation.
