Basically, the current government is under fire for what's known as the "sponsorship scandal".
The Reader's digest version: In trying to promote nationalism in Quebec after Quebec narrowly voted to stay a part of Canada, the government gave a wack of dough to show the Canadian flag in a bunch of advertising spots.
$200 million of that money went to agencies that provided no services. Some went to Liberal supporters, some went to companies which in turn paid employees who never actually worked for them (Liberal relatives, etc.)
The ex-Prime Minister (Cretian) took some blame, as did those in charge of the money in Quebec. The current Prime Minister (Martin) was free from a judges ruling, although he was the finance minister during time of the scandal.
The Conservative party, sensing a chance to possibly make the next government or at the least gain more seats, joined with the NDP party (small minority of seats), who are upset at the liberals failing to bargain with them on a few issues, to issue a vote of non-confidence.
This means that we will likely have a federal election in early January.
The stupid thing is, the Liberals promised to hold an election after the final Gomery Report (the judge's rulings is two-fold) is released in February.
Soo.. we go to the polls mayber 2-3 months early.

Quebec...isn't that the French section of Canada? I wish they would succeed, so they can fail.
Man, sucks for Canada. I hope this never happens to America, but America = Rome. We'll fall sooner or later, and when we do...it'll be hard.

The Jeb Bush thing was a joke. Nationwide, everyone is blaming George, but down here in Florida, whenever something happens, we poke fun at Jeb Bush.
