I gained a game and now I'm also tied for the best record in the league, even though Fleener's out. That's not bad at all. I haven't been paying much attention to MIN, but they seem to be coming on strong, which isn't good for me. I'd much rather have one team chasing me than two. There's still plenty of time, so I imagine I can find a way to miss the playoffs again. It'll hurt even more if it happens again this year, because this teams window of opportunity might be coming to an end.

Pretty good sim. David Tomes has been holding it down while Fleener's on the DL. Two starts, two complete games. My bullpen thanks him. If I would've gotten him some offense last game he'd be 2-0. Depending on how things look down the stretch, he might get some spot starts to make sure everyone's rested and healthy.

I love that once I add a 5th starter to my rotation, I gain 3 games in two sims.

Rdoug, you went 5-5 in the last ten games (two sims).
You've gained three games because I'm 2-8. It doesn't have anything to do with you adding a starter, it has to do with my team having a bad stretch.

Rick Vaughn is on FIRE. 10 straight quality starts (maybe more) and he's only allowed more than one run twice.

Tomes loves starting for me. Out duels Beechem Knight for the complete game shutout. In 3 starts he's gone 2-1, with 3 quality starts, all of which have been complete games. I'm going to go with this until it quits working, even if it means he takes another one of my starters spot when Fleener's back. He's bailing my bullpen out, which is huge for me. Only bullpen guy I trust is Hill, who ruins people. Diaz isn't bad, but after that it's not much.
Also, next sim's going to be pretty big because I play CLE. If I can expand on this lead it might be real tough to catch me. Things have been going too good for me, so I'm expecting to get swept.
