These come in handy.
Money left for extensions:
(Last year's attendance reveue + Last year's merchandising revenue + Current TV contract + Cash) - (Salary of players with 2 or more years left on their contract + Extensions signed)
Money left for Free Agents:
(Last year's attendance reveue + Last year's merchandising revenue + Current TV contract + Cash) - Salary of players under contract (Payroll)
I have had some problems with the extensions formula, though, so if anyone could revise it, that would be great.
I would also like to know if anyone has a Cash formula, or if it's independent from everything else.

Cash = Revenue - Expenses + whatever you have already
and I believe there's a cap of either 40 or 50 mil so if you have more than that at the end of the year you're reduced to whatever it is.
e: I'm at 50, so I'm gonna go ahead and say that's what it is.

I guarantee you that you'll win the division in the next three years with all that space.
