everyone will be allowed to nominate 1 gm from each league for GM of the year. You cannot nominate yourself.
During the first week of October i will take the 3 GMs with the most nominations from each league and open up a poll for each league in which you can vote on GM of the year. Again you cannot vote for yourself.
my nominations:
AL: Angels - best record in the league, kinda hard to argue against that
NL: Dodgers - this was a toss-up between them and the Phillies, but the Dodgers traded a lot away and got a lot of good yopung talent while remaining a contender.

*sniffle* we can't nominate ourselves? I'll go with Tampa. That team shouldn't normally be good enough to be tied with Boston for the division lead, let alone above .500

i guess i should have specified that it is only 1 GM frim each league, therefore netfan and myself cannot be nominated by the same owner cuz we are in the same league.

I nominate Tampa Bay. I honestly don't know how you're doing it, but you are. Mad props and respek to you.
Note, thanks for the nominations. I myself am a bit confused...I made good deals? I'm in playoff contention? Aren't I always the complete opposite?

i don't know how it happened either. i credit my team for the miracle (understatement) job they did holding together while upton, kaz, crawford, the departed gathright and the underacheicving brazelton were moved to the minors.
somehow an attempt to tank the season has turned into an unbelievable playoff run.
it all comes fown to picking up oliver perez and my outstanding bullpen and not to mention my bats (1st in BA).
i won't even be that upset if i miss out on the playoffs because i am at least 1 year ahead of schedule with these youngsters.

gots to give my props to dank as well. Its pretty impressive how he's managed to take Tampa Bay, the perennial loser of baseball, and make them into a contender in just one year

Just imagine if Zap hadn't traded me Weaver?

By the way, my team absolutely blows!
