Barton was also about 7-5-8 at that time, and needed about five days service to be inelligible.
And it wasn't really an unfair advantage. I wouldn't have made a steal attempt if there was a possibility of losing Barton. The whole "he could have taken hits" thing is blown way out of proportion. There was obviously not much of a chance that that would happen.

at least within 2 seasons, the stupid teams will have no money left for free agents. this makes me think i should franchise josh fogg, as i can at least get something for it when he gets 10 mil for 5

I can't believe how much these guys are paying for Sheets. That would be about half of my payroll.

It was blatantly obvious when it happened and everyone said it including yourself when it happened so why is this up for discussion when it happened a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away? Anyway, on the bidding war over Sheets; I reiterate, ...you people are fucking retarded...

I'm new to the league, so I thought I'd ask do any top SP actually hit the FA market or do they just get paid a redick amount of money in Franchising? I like the idea of franchising, but I don't think I want to go ape shit like some people.

based on the bidding here, its pointless to try for just about all of the starters who are franchised. as for ace pitchers, its a tough call. its safe to assume the majority get re-signed, or franchised, but some might slip through. regardless, there are always some good pitchers out there.
